Tracy Zimmerman TRACY ZIMMERMAN
Tracy has been a fitness professional for over 23 years and is certified with NASM, AFAA and AFTA. Her certifications specialize in personal training, kick boxing, cycling, and power weight lifting. She has been a fitness enthusiast for most of her life, from dance to water skiing from cheerleading to teaching aerobics. Another one of her passions includes hiking, where she conquered Half-Dome in Yosemite and Kearsarge Pass near the Sequoia’s. She loves outdoor activities so being an Extreme Boot Camp™ Owner is right up her alley and truly her dream career!
 
   
Alta Acosta ALTA ACOSTA
Alta Acosta is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Turbo Kick Boxing Instructor, and a Group Fitness Instructor. Alta has a background in dance as well as gymnastics. She is big on health and promotes proper nutrition in combination with an “Extreme” workout. She loves hiking, running, strength training and boxing. Although Alta is competitive, she finds it especially rewarding to see her clients reach their health and fitness goals." Even though they may not enjoy working out, Alta’s goal is to at least make them laugh (or grunt!) their way through it. Alta has the ability to motivate people to challenge themselves! She believes in her clients 100%, until they can believe in themselves as well!
 
   
Matt Mendez MATT MENDEZ
Matt Mendez is a former U.S. Marine Sergeant. During his active duty he served our country for 4 years. Thirteen weeks in Boot Camp, two tours in Iraq and earned a green belt in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP). This program consists of basic self defense and uses body mechanics from many types of martial arts including grappling, kick boxing, and submission techniques. Twice he was meritoriously promoted (he showed exceptional abilities and was promoted before his peers). Matt is also a former High School football and track athlete. Participating in these sports is where he developed his passion for health and fitness. He is currently in the Inactive Reserves and attending Orange Coast College with a plan to transfer to UCLA and become a teacher.
 
   
Lauren Da Derko LAUREN DA DERKO
Lauren is originally from the Pocono Mountains near Philadelphia, Penn. She has earned a BS in Kinesiology and continues to pursue her Masters Degree. Sports and fitness have always played a major role in her life, including gymnastics, competitive swimming and dance. Her experience as an aerobics instructor, the Assistant Head Coach for the Women's swim team at PSU, physical education teacher, track, softball and cheerleading coach have all fueled her passion for fitness and health. She loves helping others to overcome challenges and is ecstatic to be part of the "Extreme Team".
 
   
Dr. Patrick Black, D.C. DR. PATRICK BLACK, D.C.
Dr. Pat became interested in Extreme Boot Camp when he saw one of his patients, loose inches, increase her energy and strengthen her back. Being a Chiropractor he places a huge value on exercise and nutrition. So he signed up himself and got in shape and asked if he could be an instructor! He now recommends Extreme Boot Camp to all his patients, He says “because it’s best program available that combines exercise and good nutrition. People of all ages and physical conditions can benefit. It’s the best investment you can do for your health.” Dr. Pat opened his own practice in Tustin, Ca. in 1993. He is also a Qualified Medical Evaluator, Certified Spin Instructor and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology in 1990.
 
   
Mark Gonzalez MARK GONZALEZ
Mark Gonzalez is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Fullerton. He is currently in pursuit of his Masters degree in Sports Psychology. Mark has an extensive background in mixed martial arts, he is a former jiu-jitsu instructor, and has also trained in Muay-Thai kickboxing. Mark is also an avid marathoner and competes regularly in local races, recently having completed the OC and LA marathons.
 
   
Manny Bonilla MANNY BONILLA
Manny has been a youth and high school coach in both football and track for over 10 years. His passion for fitness and competition has led him to compete in road cycling, football, soccer and most recently triathlons. As a high school teacher in Orange County, Manny has also had the distinct pleasure to realize that helping others brings him the greatest joy, whether on the competitive field or through service work both in the U.S. and abroad. Manny has instructed proper running technique to youth athletes through West Football Camp for the past two summers. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts from SDSU in History.
 
   
Megan Schumacher MEGAN SCHUMACHER
Megan is a certified personal trainer and group exercise instructor through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. For over 10 years Megan was dedicated to dancing, competitive cheerleading, and other various sports. Her extreme passion for new challenges, being outdoors, and leading a healthy lifestyle shaped her into the ultimate fitness enthusiast. She is presently finishing her degree in Communications, Public Relations from Cal State Fullerton. She also plans to achieve additional desired certifications and peruse various endeavors the fitness world has to offer.
 
   
Devin Falk DEVIN FALK
Devin is an American Council on Exercise certified personal trainer and has a Bachelor’s degree in English and Communication and a Masters degree in Secondary Education. Before becoming a personal trainer he taught English for four years. Now as an instructor, he feels he is best able to marry his two passions, teaching and fitness, and bring them to his students…Boot Campers! Though hard work, discipline, and a sense of humor Devin enjoys teaching the skills that individuals need to make changes in their lives.
 
   
Shari Harris SHARI HARRIS
Shari holds a Bachelors degree in Physical Education and Biology and has been active in the fitness world for many years. She has supervised health club chains, has been a director of Physical Programs at the YMCA, taught Volleyball and Skiing as well as been Head Coach for the International Sports Exchange. Shari has taught Physical Education at middle school, high school and college levels. During her time with the YMCA, she ran a fitness program for the West Covina and Pomona Police Departments. She is an avid snow skier and swimmer. Shari ran three marathons (two in Long Beach and one in Los Angeles) and has competed in numerous triathlons and century bike rides. Shari also competes in tennis, having recently won the singles title as well as the women’s doubles title in Laguna Beach.
 
   
Sonny Sreevatsa SONNY SREEVATSA
A former boot camper, Sonny knows exactly what EBC is all about and recognizes and respects the enormous commitment that each boot camper makes to themselves when they join. He enjoys hiking and mountain biking and was also a competitive swimmer for six years throughout high school and part of college. Ever since doing his first boot camp, Sonny has found a passion for running and hopes to bring this passion to other boot campers now that he is a member of the Extreme Team.
