J.SCOTT
SHONKA
J. Scott graduated from West Point and served 10 ½ years as an officer in the U.S. Army. He was an Airborne Ranger and served in the Gulf War (1991). But don't let that military stuff fool you. An accomplished athlete, J. Scott played Division 1 Soccer, ran the L.A. Marathon in 3 hours 24 minutes and continues to play ice hockey to "relax and get away from it all." Being an enthusiast for all things physical, J. Scott is a proud member of the Extreme Boot Camp™ team. He is dedicated to helping people be all that they can be. Hooya! |

AUGUST JOHNSON
August Johnson is a fitness trainer and certified nutritionist with the Association for Fitness Professionals of America and has a background in fitness, weight management, psychology and dramatic arts. After fulfilling a prestigious modeling contract as a teen she felt the strong desire to inspire others to find and maintain a healthy lifestyle and positive body image through fitness and nutrition. She is a public speaker and film maker on topics of body image, eating disorders and fitness as well as a published author (The Feed Your Starving Artist Cookbook). She teaches nutritional therapy and healthy cooking classes at an adult recovery center in the Pacific Palisades and enjoys volunteering, anything/everything to do with creative arts and spending time with friends and family and running at the park with her bulldog, Zoe. |

EDGAR
TURNER
Edgar is a Physical Education teacher in the Los Angeles Unified
School District. He has always been athletic, among his favorite
activities are swimming, boxing and rugby. Edgar also served
in the United States Marine Corp as an Artillery Cannoneer (0811)
for the 2nd Battalion, 11th Marines at Camp Pendleton. Interesting
enough, Edgar has a B.A. degree in Television and Video production,
where he can utilize his acting skills when needed. He is currently
enrolled at the University of Phoenix in Southern California
for a Master's in Secondary Education. |

SUZE
SYLVESTER
Suze is certified by National Academy of Sports Medicine. She
has a Bachelor's degree in communications from the University
of Central Florida. Suze is a natural athlete who excelled at
Volleyball, Track (specifically sprints and hurdles) and was
Captain of her weightlifting team in high school. Suze is an
ex-gymnast and really likes to focus on core, balance, and flexibility
in her training. In her free time she continues to play volleyball,
football, and enjoys surfing and snowboarding. |

BEAU BRUDERER
Beau is a certified personal trainer with the National Council on Strength and Fitness, the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. He first got into fitness with his wrestling team in high school, which he ended up coaching once he graduated. Beau is in to a wide variety of physical challenges including surfing, mountain biking, hill-sprinting, rock-climbing and bungee jumping. Beau has been training individuals for over 6 years and is proud to be joining the Extreme team. |

DALE SMITH
Dale is a certified personal trainer with the AFAA and PROPTA. His hobbies include football, tour-biking, and camping. Dale strongly believes in training with tons of intensity and as frequently as possible and has created workout programs geared towards getting people the best results in a short amount of time. He now has joined our Extreme Team and will put his knowledge to work for you! |
